Jake is uncannily good with guns as his preferred weapon of choice. He's also a very strong bralwer and will resort to using his fists if he loses his guns. He's not very strong magically yet, but in the future may develop an ability to boost others' magics and morale in the heat of the battle. He has yet to discover this about himself, but he has the ability to grant Hope to those in his team to increase their magic or strength in battle.
As Lord of Mounds and Xenon, Jake also has a mild Earth affinity and can move rocks, boulders, and the actual ground beneath your feet, but he doesn't realize this yet. Once he does, however, it will be an easy power for him to master. Another power he will realize he has at a later date, is the power of asphyxiation. He will be able to manipulate the air around an enemy to sap them of their oxygen, effectively suffocating them. However, it's too dangerous of a power for him to feel comfortable enough practicing when he discovers it, and it remains a wildcard for quite a while.
